Science and STEM can and will change the world. Children are natural scientists and we help children discover and explore their love of science. We are so excited to introduce our new pilot program set to launch in 2019. With our Complete STEM Partnership Program we will work WITH the educator to assist in the implementing STEM into their service, including incursions once a term. It is about assisting teachers to incorporate all areas of STEM effectively in their regular program. The program is a year long program and will have limited spaces.

Our program is a full year program and includes the following aspects

4 incursions (1 each term) that build on each other to engage children in deeper understandings of the topics covered.
Access to an exclusive online community to discuss challenges in STEM educations, new ideas, current trends in STEM, your students interests and how you can develop STEM components to their interests and more. This community will be facilitated by our team (made up of Early Education and Science Teachers).
Access to weekly STEM activities released weekly for implementation in your program if you wish. These will build upon both our online community discussions and our incursions.
Ability for children to send in STEM questions (via their teacher) to the program. One child's question across the program (over all services) will be selected each week and we will create a response that can be shared with the children weekly.
Ability for children (through their teacher) to submit their own STEM discoveries to share with the DSK (Destination Science Kids) Community
At the end of the program if you have actively participated in the online PD components of the STEM partnership you will qualify for a 12 hour PD certificate involving STEM.
Information packet for parents (for you to distribute if you wish) explaining the benefits of the program for them.
Badge to put on your website, social media etc. advertising your involvement in the program.
The program content will differ from term to term as we will be working in PARTNERSHIP with participants to develop a program that meets their needs, and interests. The program will allow participants to share their knowledge, experience and expertise as well as our knowledge.
Our online teachers group will be a small group (limited to no more than 20 participants) to ensure that each participant gets the personal attention required to create an engaging and involved program.

Cost

This program builds upon each term and as such is a full school year program.

The cost of participation is $1200 per early childhood class, This works out as $300 a term. Payment schedules can be arranged.

This includes participation for up o 30 children in the class. If your classes are larger than 30 children it will cost an extra $10 a child. Maximum numbers in a class for incursions are 35 children. If your class is bigger than this please contact us to discuss options.

This also includes participation for the kinder teacher in the online PD and community as well as through the teacher, access for the children to participate in the learning community.

FAQ

I team teach with another teacher. Can we both be registered for the online class?

In team teaching situations this can be arranged. As this partnership program is designed to be used along your programming we understand the importance of having both teachers involved. Please contact us to discuss this.

If I have 2 small classes at my service can I combine classes to make one class?

Yes as long as the larger class is no bigger than 35 children. Also, please be aware that the classes will need to join together for the incursions as we will only run 1 incursion per registered class.
